I got a lot done this week. I figured out I want my final project to be a website. I did a lot of research and found a lot of info and cool ideas. I was also emailing David Kozatch and he really helped me with some interesting articles and good information. I think my content is going to include good ads vs bad ads and the reasons why. I want it to be in simple language so everyone can understand and i want it to be kind of interactive. Patty made me realize i should also define what advertising, marketing, and neuromarketing is. I want to figure out why some ads make our brains stimulated and others not and explain it with the good ad vs bad ad comparison. I did a lot of research this week and found cool pictures that make you look twice. I'm going to find out what happens when u look twice at an image and maybe include them in my website. I still have a lot to do but im happy with my progress so far. next week i am going to go through all my research and figure out what i really want to include. I also need to figure out what the website will look like and how i can make it (with what software or something) i dont know, ill look into it.
I am having a lot of trouble. I really want learn about how the brain responds to different advertisements. Over the summer i read the book, Buyology by Martin Lindstrom. The book is so interesting and exactly what i wanted to read about, i want to do something on neuro-marketing, but i have no idea what. I should have done more this summer but i really couldn't. I cant figure out what i can possibly do with the knowledge i have so far or the topic i am interested in. I could make an advertisment, make a subliminal advertisment, test people's brains and see what's going on when they see an ad, there is a lot that i can do but i do not know how to go about it. I have my dad's neurology business that i could get brain scans from, mile's dad, David Kotazch, whos job is effective-advertising, Martin Lindstroms website, Seth Godin's blog (thanks to David Kozatch), media and neuroscience books i could read for years and everything else i am not thinking about. I am going to talk to my mentor (ms. costello) again, patty, David Kozatch, and anyone else with ideas this coming week. I need to figure this out now.
