im really ready for this to be done! i finally found and took my own pictures that are perfect for my website.. took long enough. i have been writing a kind of intro paragraph on each webpage to show the connection to my mission statement, this is not hard because everything is connected, im just explaining why, instead of having the viewer try to figure it out (americans are lazy). so im meeting with ms costello tom for lunch and shell look at it all and over break i just need to finsih a couple intros and work on the brain segregations. david kozatch and ms costello said they would be available on email over break, and ill be working hard! see ya!
this was a bad week. i found out that i cant use my pictures unless i get perrmission from the photographer and then i will have to pay. so i am finding royalty free pictures or pictures i can get perrmission to use. i am also putting more information in my website, i need to work hard this weekend, my mentor gave me a to do list. i showed david kozatch some of my website and he liked my mission but thought i should work more on my timeline, which i already knew i had to do. this weekend i am meeting with patty, i am going to get things done so that i will be done enough to finish over xmas break after my mentor tells me next week what to do. im SCARED.
this week i kept designing web pages and re doing what i had already done. I have a few more left to do. i think i am also going to adjust my rubric to be more exploratory then trying to prove a hypothesis because i don't really have a hypothesis. and i need to start emailing david koztach my web pages to see what he thinks. i'm ready for all of this to be done now.
I worked with patty this weekend and we wrote all my sources in apa format and wrote them in my process book. She also gave me ideas for each page, designing and adding pictures, videos, and text. I worked on some pages and placed the text and pictures how I thought it looked best and flowed nicely. I am going to start sending some pages I think are done to David Kozatch, my outside consultant, and see what he says. I am going away for thanksgiving break so I hope I can get more pages done before I leave. What I still need to do; work on my timeline, present day progression, my mission, what my project should be projecting, how i did this, etc..., finish finding and adding pictures and videos and I need to find a good picture of a brain to indicate what parts are being affected. I also think I might need to adjust rubric and make my study exploratory instead of using a hypothesis.
I did a lot of work this week. I put all my information into my website and realized I have a lot of stuff. I met with Ms. Costello and she was very impressed with how much I had. I still need to organize and add pictures. I am meeting with patty this weekend also for her input. I dont really have much more to say.
This was the long weekend. I did a lot of reading (Fast Food Nation) i really went through the whole book and made a timeline of important dates, years, moments, etc and organized it all onto a page of my website. this timeline i think is important because it really had some keys things that changed how marketing was and how it became what it is today. I am still doing research and trying to figure out how im gonna lay the information out on my website. I think I should continue doing research but i really want to start this week taking my powerpoint from science class that i made, all the info i have, the timeline, etc and put it all on the website.
This week I did a lot of research, I started reading Fast Food Nation, and I watched the movie. The movie was more about the grossness of the fast food industry but the book focuses more on the marketing aspect, which is really interesting. Some really helpful to me also was in the book it says about how the fast food companies used to advertise, and how it has changed, and is still changing. I talked with Patty this week and she helped me, advising me that I should do case studies, instead of have such broad topics like I have. So I have decided to use McDonald's and Disney show how advertising is progressing, what is happening and how neuroscience is involved. I am happy that I have finally come to some decisions I just need to put it in action. So this weekend and next week I am going to keep reading and compare and figure out the progression. I feel like I am about to be in a better place.
this week was not my best week. i feel a little scared. no a lot scared. i didnt really do anything for my project except for tonight i made a powerpoint for my science class project and i did it on the same topic as my senior project. so its like a mini of what im doing for my senior project. that really helped me because i think now im getting somewhere. ughh i hope so. the problem is the internet. it has wayyyy too many things to learn about. and once i see something i like i cant help but want to include that in my project as well. i am going to get focused! i really am. i was just so happy that i made all my deadlines last week i forgot i had things to do this week. but im serious now. this website is going to be done soon. k byeeee
This week i got a lot done. I finished my rubric on wednesday and emailed it. (Last week David Kozatch said he would be glad to be my outside consultant.) I met with Urban today (thurs) and he showed me how to use iWeb, to make a website, which is so easy and I am so excited to get started. I still need to focus on my content, i just have so much i want to add and im not sure how to relate it all. So next week i am going to start to play around with the design of the website and hopefully start putting things together.
