week two

Week One of Shooting:

I shot for a couple hours on Saturday with Tina Bozick in my garden (recreating some memories from when I was about six years old at our old house in Connecticut) and on my parent's four-poster...Dressing the interior set for shooting was really different than styling for black and white: having to think about different textures and color was much more complicated than what I usually deal with. I experimented with shooting through different materials to soften the photos...

I ended up using saran wrap with Tina and somehow managed to scratch my UV filter when I was taking it on and off again so I have to order a new one...also my memory card is too small for this project so I'm getting a new one for this weekend's shoots tomorrow!

Prep for Week Two:

I went through all of my 'memory webs' yesterday, (pic soon) reordered them so that they fit into two main branches, (pic soon) and made a calendar for myself of when/where/with whom I need to be shooting each set of photos. I'm doing 3-4 shoots this weekend: 

5 am (before sunrise) Saturday on the beach w/ headlights

2 pm Saturday with Gaby (and then with Miles halfway through)

Saturday night at Sylvia's Winery

& Possibly Monday afternoon with Natasha

 

I have to find beaches and fields to shoot on/at this Monday with Tasha, I'm going to drive around on Sunday and figure out what my options are...also have to convince Trish to model for me at some point soon. Going shopping this afternoon for Saturday's shoot with Gaby and Miles, need to buy some fabrics and paint!

I'm going to be shooting both film and digital this weekend, so next week will be eaten up by loading and processing......
