last

yesterday i was in manhattan at the lab for my internship. turns out i will be starting in the lab in january and interning once a week till june! this is so cool. i got my id and paper work all filled out, but i still need to get blood work and medical check because the doctor was not in yesterday. the new regulations for interns are crazyy.. i was running around all day yesterday in the freezing cold!

this vacation i will probably meet with patty a couple times before leaving for barbados on the 23rd. i will have internet there and do final edits on my website there.

i look forward to the new year and my presentation, and although my project has taken many changes i am happy with how it is turning out.

my project has taken a drastic change.

my product is no longer a poster but now a website! the upside is that the many twists and turns of my study are now able to be put in one place for a final product. I have been writing and categorizing my notes into different tabs and i am working on getting the rights to many images of Biofilm for my site and i look forward to seeing where this goes.

I got in contact with the lab again and this process is very slow moving. I may be able to go next week for medical clearance which means IF I AM LUCKY i will be able to intern ONCE before christmas. this is not ideal because i am leaving for Barbados on the 22nd.

Also, i am having some issues taking out a camcorder from school to video testimonials from my study.. so i am trying to find one somewhere else, possibly from my brother.

Lastly, my account on zoomerang for the surveys is expiring in a couple days so i have taken my results and put them elsewhere for when i can no longer access the website. I will not be able to make any other surveys and no one else will be able to access the surveys any more after this.

I really have little anxiety for this project now, but it is crunch time and i have been devoting lots of time to this. I find out from school this week also, so i am a bit on edge.

I want to kick myself for forgetting to write on this again!

Anyways, this week was the end of my 2 week study which turned out well. I have the results in three surveys which makes reading them simple. I hope to get one last bit of feedback from the participants sometime this week, now that the study is over, and maybe even video testimonials. 

Also, I heard from my outside consultant who said that it may still be somewhat possible for me to intern at her lab! This is very exciting news.
