I'm 6/8 far into my product and making good progress overall. I had a lesson with my outside mentor yesterday and we worked on scoring for performance night so that I can have all of that done by the end of winter break. I will also have my product complete by then also. I was wondering which days the ross school will be open on break?
I met with Hal on Friday and talked about the progress that I'm making. I also talked to Ms. Isbister the other day, regarding practice with the high school chamber strings for performance night. She told me that all I had to do was write out a score so she could look over it and present it to the chamber strings. So all I' really working on now is my product and writing out the score.
everything is going at a steady rate. I'm making good progress with my recording, although i still need to get my violinist to cut his tracks. i et with Hal, who took a look at my process folio and gave me approval to present. Everything else is good.
This week I started recording on my new interface. All is working well, no complaints no problems. I'm borrowing some mics from ross school to finish my product over the break. That is all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-)
I received my m-audio recording device today in the mail, I can get my recording process on a good steady path now for the upcoming break. The vacation will be a great time to record because it is the only time when i can get my friends who play violin and cello to come record on my unfinished tracks. My mentor approved me for preliminary proposal as soon as he sees my process folio which he will be seeing at our next meeting.

I sent in my budget request form for an M-audio microphone interface. This will be a vital asset for good quality recordings and recording drums properly. I met with my outside mentor on thursday and he helped me organize some ideas I have been working on. I have enough compositions in mind, I just need the adequate materials to finish anytime soon.
I have successfully recorded my first and second composition. They are almost finished, all I have to add are violins which I expect to get done within the following week. I'm making good process and I expect to have my product complete by the end of thanksgiving break, if not then a little later.
I started recording the final product. I only have about 2 minutes of material recorded because I've experienced technical difficulties with the recording interface. I figure I can get this sorted out with my outside mentor, because he has a lot of computer recording knowledge, or possibly the tech department. Once all those problems are figured out, then there is nothing stopping me from continuing successfully with my project.
This week the recording stuff came in the mail. I finally started recording and have 2 minutes of material, it's sounding really good and getting the recording materials is the first big step in getting my project together. I need to ask Mr. Judd if i can use some Ross School Microphones.
